The Florence Theater 2019 Annual Awards

Join us for a fun night of rounds of interviews from The Florence Community Theater, home of the Florentine Players in Omaha, Nebraska.  We celebrate the award winners from their 2019 Season and also give you insight with their Director, Neal Herring, about their upcoming production, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest which opens February 20 and runs Feb 20-23rd.
 
We want to extend our thanks to The Florence Community Theater for welcoming us and letting us try the Awards format for our show.  And a very special thanks to Derek Kowal, President of the Board, for his support and welcoming us into The Florentine Family.  
 
The Award Winners we spoke to are as follows: 
Cecelia Saas - Award for Costumes, and Best Supporting Actress for The 55th Annual Meladrama
Kathryn "Kate" Villata - Producers Award for Making God Laugh
Tracie Mauk - Directors Award for Hint!
Chris Perry - Best Supporting Actor for Making God Laugh
Shelly Gushard - Lead Actress for Making God Laugh
Laura Hayden -  Producers Award for The 55th Annual Meladrama
Molly Anderson - Producers Award for Backstage and Tech Crew 
Sig and Ric Guftason - Volunteer Awards
AND Featuring...  Derek Kowal, President of the Board of The Florentine Players.

The Florence Community Theater – home to The Florentine Players – has been staging productions in the Florence area since 1964. Although often known for the Annual Melodrama, the Theater stages three major productions per year.
